Lecta will increase prices on all of its specialty paper grades by 8% to 10% from next month.

The Spain-headquartered papermaking group said in a statement that due to the continuous rising cost in raw material, and reduced availability – especially in chemicals and pulp – alongside increasing logistic costs, the increase on orders with delivery from 1 June 2022 “is unavoidable”.

It will be applied on the company’s Thermal, Carbonless, Labels and Flexible Packaging papers and is additional to the previous increases already announced.

“Lecta’s sales team remain available to all customers in order to provide more detailed information and support,” the company stated.

“Lecta understands that these circumstances are difficult and remains committed to serve its valued customers the best possible.”

In its annual report for the year ended 31 December 2021, released last week, Lecta reported big increases in revenue and EBITDA but a pre-tax loss from continuing operations in 2021.
