Benny Landa has provided a sneak peek into progress at Landa Digital Printing’s Israel manufacturing operations – including a first look inside its NanoInk plant – prior to an industry Q&A session with fresh CEO Arik Gordon and Landa management that will be held this evening.

Landa, the founder and chairman of Landa Digital Printing, released a short video tour of the firm’s two press manufacturing plants – Systems Plant 1 and 2 – and its Plant 3 factory where NanoInk and the special blankets used by the presses are made.

New developments briefly featured in the video included two sheetfed S10 B1 sheetfed presses with a new double delivery configuration that are set to be shipped to customers in the US.

Systems plant manager Naama Konor-Gal said: “The double delivery enhances the efficiency of our customers and allows them to run multiple jobs and to sort the jobs one from the other.”

She said the firm had continued operating double-day shifts, five days a week during lockdown and the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

There was also a glimpse of the W10 web press for flexible packaging, which is yet to ship. Landa said it was producing “spectacular results”.

It’s the first time Landa Digital Printing has shown its highly-automated ink making facility, with consumables plant manager Tomer Goral providing a sneak peek of the packing area and also the blanket assembly line, where the 11m-long blanket-belts are cut to size and fitted with guide zips.

Gordon joined the business from Orbotech in June.
