Delta Group has won McColl’s retail marketing ‘Point of Sale’ contract, after a competitive tender process.

McColl's convenience stores and Martins newsagents has a network of 1,265 sites across England, Scotland, and Wales, serving over four million customers with 16,500 colleagues working across the business.

As part of the "multimillion" three-year contract, Delta Group will provide complex retail campaign execution through its Workstream X technology, providing integrated artwork, creative, digital automation, POS production, fulfilment and distribution to McColl’s for its promotional in-store campaigns, leaflet drops, and magazine production.

McColl’s head of marketing Mandy Hodson said: “Our tender process was focused on finding a partner that understood retail, and could provide us the ability to execute campaigns at pace, allowing us flexibility to maximise in-store promotions for our customers.

“Delta clearly demonstrated an advanced understanding of retail campaign execution and highlighted how their unique infrastructure, retail technology and inhouse end-to-end services will help McColl’s drive ‘Continuous Improvement’.”

Delta Group CEO Jason Hammond added: “We are thrilled with this award, particularly being through such a complex tender process that left no stone unturned. To be appointed to work with McColl’s is very exciting and provides us assurance that our culture of ‘can do’ and focus on continuous improvements, investment in people, services and manufacturing are being recognised as the market-leading retail grocery/convienience strategy.”

Delta Group recently appointed a big hitter from the entertainment industry, Danni Murray, in the newly-created position of divisional managing director of Delta’s Film, Entertainment & Gaming Division.

Delta offers a range of creative, technology and display services. The group boosted its FSDU production capabilities with the UK’s first Displayline system over the summer.

The business also recently revealed that in the spring it boosted its flatbed digital production with a new Onset X3 HS system, with robotics, from Fujifilm.

The Delta group of companies had sales of £77m last year, and employs 750 staff over eight sites.
