Evolon microfilament banner material gets HP Latex certification

HP has certified specialist textile manufacturer Freudenberg's Evolon microfilament banner material for use with its HP Latex printing inks.

Freudenberg's Evolon EVO 100 PMB FR and EVO 130 PMB FR have both been certified by HP for use with the HP Latex 200 series and HP Latex 800 series (including the HP Latex 260, 280, 820 and 850 printers).

The Evolon range is available in weights from 110-150gsm, is flame-retardant under French fire regulations and has been awarded the M1 classification, making it fully compatible with indoor use.

According to Colmar, France-based Freudenberg, the microfilament material is two to four times lighter than traditional banner material, meaning savings on raw materials and transport costs for wide-format printers.

Evolon contains no PVC, solvents or chemical binders and is manufactured at an ISO 14001 and ISO 50001-certified site. It is available in roll widths up to 2.2m and is compatible with a wide range of converting options, including sewing, heat-sealing, eyelets and adhesive tape.

The Evolon materials are distributed in the UK by Kernow Coatings.
