Sappi and EBB roll out Magno brand

Rebrand is "a logical evolution"

Sappi is harmonising the worldwide branding on its flagship coated woodfree paper range, which means GalerieArt becomes Sappi Magno in the UK and Ireland.

The change is being carried out together with EBB, the exclusive UK and Ireland stockist for the range.

EBB stocks Magno Gloss, Magno Matt and Magno Satin in weights from 80gsm-450gsm.

The rebrand became effective this month. Sappi said the decision to bring branding in line with the rest of the world showed “a commitment to continued, reliable supply and consistent message globally”.

The only change is to the product name, there are no changes to the product itself.

Sappi UK managing director Jonathan Hunt said: “This increased alignment in the longstanding partnership between EBB and Sappi in the UK and Ireland is a demonstration of our shared belief and investment in the sustainable future of print – and in the growth potential of key products when allied to excellent product availability.”

Chris Sandwell, group sales and marketing director at EBB, commented: “We see the move to rebrand GalerieArt to Magno as a logical evolution, supporting the mill global brand will help consolidate the number one position as the leading coated paper worldwide”.

He described Magno as “the coated choice” for commercial printers and publishers across the UK.

EBB has ten warehouses across the UK and Ireland, and the two firms said that Magno matt, gloss and silk papers would be stocked at strategic locations “to ensure rapid, just-in-time access to in-depth stocks for printers nationwide”.

Most of the Magno range is also certified for use on HP Indigo digital presses.
