Magenta-Vision has expanded its portfolio of Teckwin LED UV printers with the launch of three new models.

The Polish distributor has added two flatbed printers and one roll-to-roll machine with expanded colour gamut from Chinese manufacturer Teckwin to its portfolio.

The new machines feature multi-layer printing capabilities with white printing for better opacity, colour contrast, and readability, while their UV curing enables faster drying and quicker turnarounds, as well as greater material versatility.

The Teckwin Shark II 3020 is a 3mx2m flatbed equipped with the latest generation of up to 12 Ricoh Gen 6 printheads for improved productivity.

Using LED UV inks, the 12-channel machine machine can print double CMYK plus double hit white, or double CMYK plus double hit white and varnish. It is suitable for applications including POS, POP, shop decorations, exhibition displays and stands. Pricing for this machine ranges from €150,000 (£129,000) to €200,000.

Also new is the Teckwin Sword-Fish TS 6090, a flatbed equipped with Ricoh Gen 5i printheads. It has a maximum print area of 900x600mm and runs six colours plus white, or white and primer.

It can print onto objects with flat surfaces as well as round shape objects including cans, pens, and water bottles.

Finally, the Teckwin Sword-Fish TS 3200G6 is a 3.2m-wide LED UV roll-to-roll printer. It's equipped with the latest generation of up to six Ricoh Gen 6 printheads in two rows for increased productivity, and with LED UV inks for faster drying, material versatility, and wider colour gamut options.

It can print on a wide range of media with a resolution of up to 800x1,200dpi in eight-pass mode, and with a CMYK or expanded CMYK, Lc, Lm colour gamut. Additional features include optional dual printing for improved production, and mesh options.

This machine is suitable for marcomms and retail applications such as POS, POP, banners, posters, and flags, as well as facade and outdoor advertising.

It can also be used for special applications for interior decoration including wall coverings and floorings, for industrial printing, or in museums. Pricing for this machine ranges from €50,000 to €75,000.

Magenta-Vision general manager Charles Poot-Baudier said: “We are delighted to announce that our family range of high quality, high speed printers is expanding.

“Our customers have always given us excellent feedback on the quality and ROI of our existing Teckwin range, so we are very much looking forward to presenting these new great additions to the market.”

The new machines are commercially available immediately. Magenta-Vision sells direct but told Printweek it is looking for a distributor in the UK in the near future.
