The VG3-640/540 and the entry-level SG3-540/300 are eco-solvent inkjet devices that can be used for applications from signage and banners to vehicle graphics and labels.

New features include a user-friendly interface with a 7in LCD touchpanel, automated media feed and gap adjustment to reduce user tasks, and easier media setup thanks to the one-touch media holders.

The VG3-640 and 540 models use a new eight-colour inkset (CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, orange, and green) while the SG3-540 and 300 models are available in CMYK.

Paul Willems, Roland DG’s head of business development and product management, EMEA, said: “We’ve always had a very reliable, high-quality product in terms of output quality and reliability, but here we’ve stepped it up.”

Roland is also demonstrating machines for direct-to-object and direct-to-textile printing.
