Ghost is marking the Fespa debut this week of two recently launched white toner printers.

The German company is showing the Little Ghost and Mini Ghost systems on its booth (7-S38) at the show, which is taking place at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam until the end of today (15 October).

Little Ghost is suitable for transfer to textiles including shirts and bags, fabrics, and hard surfaces. With white toner, a transfer foil and a heat transfer press are required to transfer the print.

The machine, which has a maximum resolution of 1,200dpi, can also be used to create applications including invitations, letters, and cards. No special software, cutting, or weeding is required.

The printer bundle is available for just under £800, and includes a Canon I-Sensys LBP623Cdw printer, the Ghost White Toner cartridge, and CMYK starter toner.

The kit can also be used with Ghost’s Sublime Toner cartridges, which enable users to print designs on standard copy paper and transfer them to light polyester sublimation-friendly blanks.

Also showing at Fespa for the first time is Mini Ghost, which can be used for the same types of applications but utilises a smaller 600dpi HP Color Laser 150 as part of the bundle, which otherwise includes the same toner cartridges.

Available for just under £600, the company said Mini Ghost enables customers to “acquire a complete package for a very fair price”.

Speaking to Printweek at Fespa, a spokesman for Ghost said: “The main benefit of white toner is that you can print on a lot of surfaces, such as cotton and mugs, and we have a lot of customers using these printers for prototypes.”

UK customers can purchase the two machines direct from Ghost. The business also has a global reseller network.
