Zerographic takes 'logical step' with acquisition of Murodigital

The managing director of Zerographic has called the company's acquisition of finishing equipment supplier Murodigital "a logical step" in expanding its core business.

Xerox digital equipment reseller Zerographic acquired Murodigital on 31 December 2009, after the finishing and binding business went into administration along with parent company Litho Supplies just before Christmas.

As a result of the deal, Murodigital will continue to operate from its Weston-super-Mare, Somerset site and retain its name. All of the supplier's 40 staff are being kept on at the business.

Managing director Kevin Corbett said: "Murodigital’s extensive print production, finishing and document presentation solutions will both support and enhance the current Zerographic range.

"Murodigital have an excellent and long-standing reputation across a broad customer base and this investment is a logical step towards expansion of our already successful core business."

The Murodigital business was established 25 years ago. It supplies equipment from companies such as Powis Parker, Xerox, Riso, Renz, Fujipla and Graphics Whizard.
