Whistl has expanded its localised collection service to Essex and south east London through a new collection point located in Basildon.

The company said the launch of this single daily parcel collection service for SME and mid-market retailers, wholesalers, and brands will enable them to access over 600 delivery service options for their customers through 20 carrier partners both in the UK and internationally.

From the new Basildon base, businesses in the RM, SS, IG, E, SE, BR, and parts of the CM and DA postcode areas will be able to access the new Parcelhub service.

Parcelhub managing director Steve Marjoram said: “We are delighted to expand our service into Essex and south east London. Smaller businesses will now be able to access the benefits and flexibility of service that has traditionally only been available to large businesses.”

Last month Parcelhub opened a new 929sqm depot at Leicester’s Meridian Business Park, creating 10 new jobs.

Acquired by Whistl in 2018 as part of its growth strategy into parcel delivery and e-fulfilment logistics management, Colwick Quays, Nottingham-headquartered Parcelhub has experienced high organic growth in recent years and has also benefitted from the acceleration in e-commerce adoption following the coronavirus lockdowns.
