Wallace Print Group brings services in house with 10,000 laminator spend

Wallace Print Group has brought a raft of services in house after investing 10,000 in a Seal laminator.

The machine was installed at the Rochester-based company last Thursday (9 June) and according to managing director Gary Wallace it will open a number of doors.

As well as simple laminating, Wallace will use the machine for encapsulating, which it will be using to target outdoor advertising users, self adhesive films, photoprint mounting and sealing film, which it will use to produce matt, satin, textured and gloss finishes.

Other services it will be offering through the machine include specialised items such as anti-graffiti laminate and a wet and dry mounting or laminating facility, which enable products to be tear resistant and enable protection from moisture and abrasion.

Wallace said: "We already have a lot of this type of work that we were outsourcing. To enable us to remain cost effective we can now produce it in house, which is a natural progression. It is already bringing in new work."

He added that the £2m-turnover 15 staff company will now be aggressively marketing its new services.
