VistaPrint steps up its European expansion plans

VistaPrint has made inroads into European expansion by growing its printing and distribution plant in Venlo, the Netherlands.

The online personalised print and graphic design supplier now operates a 13,000sqm site, which is expected to employ 300 people by the end of 2008.

VistaPrint chief operating officer Wendy Cebula said: "Europe is VistaPrint's fastest growing market and as we continue to grow, both inside and outside of the US, our newly expanded plant will help us meet the demand."

She said the company "continues to re-invest in the growth of the company and with more than 39% of our revenue originating outside the US in our 2008 second fiscal quarter, the expansion of our Venlo site is important to the future of VistaPrint".

The company's Venlo plant is responsible for the printing and distribution of orders throughout Europe and the Pacific Rim.

VistaPrint produces a range of products including business cards, calendars and t-shirts. It receives around 30,000 orders per day from its 19 websites and ships to more than 120 countries around the globe.
