Thermal Exchange secures new Lauda Ultracool chiller sale and reports growth

Lauda UK distributor Thermal Exchange has sold an Ultracool UC 0500 chiller to Hardings Print Solutions (HPS).

HPS, which is based in Feltham, near Heathrow Airport, bought the chiller, which costs around £11,000, for its new HP Indigo 10000, which was installed last month.

HPS production director Jamie Gardner said: “We have been pleased with the performance of our smaller Ultracool chiller on our HP Indigo 5500 and also the service support we have received from Thermal Exchange.

“By purchasing the larger Ultracool chiller for our new Indigo 10000, helps to maintain continuity with the equipment in our production facility and also technical support as well.”

The HP Indigo approved Lauda Ultracool UC 0500 and UC 0650 chillers provide an optimised refrigeration system for use with the HP Series 10000, 20000 and 30000 presses.

Leicester-based Thermal Exchange provides process cooling and thermal management systems for industrial cooling applications. Sales director Chris Walker said the chiller forms an integral part of the press’s operation.

“With any chiller sale, we understand the critical role it plays in the operation of its application and the HP Indigo press is no different,” said Walker.

“Our network of fully trained engineers located throughout the country enables a rapid response to all HP customers, ensuring continued productivity and peace of mind.”

Thermal Exchange said it has recently seen "a significant increase" in Lauda Ultracool circulation chiller sales due to the increase in printers using HP Indigo 10000, 20000 and 30000 digital presses.

As well as being the UK distributor for Lauda since 2006, the business also took on the additional distributorship and servicing responsibility for Lauda Ultracool industrial chillers in 2011.
