Heat transfer manufacturer Supacolor has created what could be the industry’s first ASMR video as part of a promo campaign.

The US-headquartered firm teamed with YouTube influencer Emma ‘WhispersRed’ Smith on its Supachill video.

WhispersRed is a licensed sound therapy practitioner and specialist ASMR content creator. She used her skills and trademark delivery to create a relaxing t-shirt printing soundscape for Supacolor.

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) content such as whispering, quiet repetitive sounds and ambient noise has gained a huge amount of traction on social media.

Supacolor marketing director Jon Moore said the video was watched nearly 40,000 times in the first 24 hours after launch.

“We are supporting this content with an email campaign, social media ads and organic posts across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn,” he added.

It has now had more than 50,000 views.

The firm has a UK operation – Supacolour – in Corby. Its transfer materials are used for the production of clothing and merchandise, with clients including garment printers, fashion brands, and merchandise specialists.
