Sunline integrates with Not on the High Street

Mailing specialist Sunline is capitalising on the burgeoning e-tailing trend after integrating its fulfilment services with website portal Not on the High Street.

Thousand of creative SME businesses use the Not on the High Street (NOTHS) site to sell their wares.

Loughborough-based Sunline has been working with sellers on the site for around 18 months. It started offering a manual pick, pack and despatch service in 2014.

This has now evolved to a new level of sophistication, after being integrated with the NOTHS systems via the site’s Application Programming Interface (API).

“We have gradually built up our client base, and the biggest achievement has been the API integration with NOTHS,” explained head of new business Paride Forte. “We’ve been able to do it via our warehouse management and e-commerce systems.”

Sunline is targeting NOTHS sellers with growing businesses, who are currently handling their orders manually.

“We can take that burden away from them and make sure their orders go out on time. We are also offering a reverse logistics service for returns,” Forte added.

The system automatically communicates details about the order status with retailers, and can also send order confirmation and shipment details to the end customer on the retailer’s behalf.

Sunline’s system of charges for the service is based on the item size, the amount of storage required for stock, packing, and postage via the Royal Mail or courier.

It is also offering additional personalisation services, such as personalised gift messages with items.

Sunline has added 2,300sqm of warehouse space for the fulfilment service. Forte said the firm has taken on some additional staff, but it is also able to flex its existing workforce.

The company has sales of £7.3m and employs around 130 staff, according to its most recent accounts.
