Shiraz adds features to Focus fine-art and photo RIP

RIP specialist Shiraz will unveil a new version of its Focus fine-art and photographic wide-format RIP at Photokina later this month.

Shiraz Focus version 3.0 enables users to apply pre-printing adjustments, filters and effects; save and recall jobs, add frame and crop marks and apply changes to batches of jobs.

Money-saving features include improved nesting tools and ink allocation to reduce substrate and ink costs and a queue to enable unattended operation.

Frames and borders can be added, including automatic mirroring of edges for canvas box prints.

"We have incorporated feedback as well as our knowledge and have built a product which supports even the most challenging creative undertakings," said Shiraz Software business development director Ramin Shahbazi.
