Nector Graphics increases plate production with Creo Scitex platesetter

Delhi-based pre-press bureau Nector Graphic has increased its plates producing capacity by installing a refurbished Creo Scitex Trendsetter.

The CTP has been supplied by Watthour Systems.

The firm, which turned Rs 2-crore in the last fiscal is targeting to double its turnover this year with the Creo CTP. It earlier fired 350 plates per day using the Crown CTP, now it produces 600 thermal plates after adding the 8-up platesetter and hopes to produce to its capacity, 800 plates in due course.

"We opted for the refurbished Creo CTP not only for its quality output but also productivity. We have nearly doubled our plate production," said Jai Bhagwan, director at Nector Graphics. Plates from TechNova and Fuji feed the Trendsetter.

The firm has a clientele of regular and walk-in customers, which include printing facilities in the nearby Naraina Industrial Area, publishing houses and calendar printers.

The pre-press facility, which operates round the clock in a 1,500 sq/ft rented site also provide design facility to its clients with seven designers employed besides 17 others who man plate production.
