Mohndruck purchases In-Log post-press solution

Mohn Media Mohndruck has placed an order with Manroland Web Systems for a new 96-page rotary web press for its Gütersloh, Germany site.

It is also fitting out its finishing systems with In-Log flowline trimmers from Mertens Maschinenbau.

The new press is equipped with folders for both short- and long-grain applications for increased flexibility. It  is expected to be operational by the end of the year and will be joined later by the two trimmers.

Alex Hentrei, joint chief executive of Bertelsmann Printing Group and managing director at Mohn Media, emphasised that the flowline trimmers offer significant flexibility, in particular for smaller formats.

Intensive market analysis has led to the conclusion that Mertens offered the best value for money. The company did not only consider the initial investment cost, but also the ongoing cost of ownership.
