Integrity ramps up high-volume leaflet capacity with Hunkeler spend

Integrity Print has increased its high-volume leaflet production capacity after investing in a new Hunkeler automated finishing line.
Supplied by Friedheim International, the Gen8 finishing line with in-line cutting, separating and stacking modules, was installed at the end of January and was running at full capacity throughout February, “with no fewer than 50 projects now completed” according to Integrity.
The Midsomer Norton-based business said the additional line, which cost £300,000, has provided it with a high-performance roll-to-stack system that doubles its capacity for folded leaflet production.
Accounts director Nathan Douglas said: “Over the past few years, we’ve seen an increase in the demand for high-volume leaflet printing. In the past we weren’t always able to meet this demand but now, with this new investment, we have the capacity to produce up to 10 million folded leaflets per week – doubling the capacity of 2020.
“The new technology provides an automated, inline solution that allows us to streamline our process and become far more efficient. The new commercial line also gives us the enhanced finishing capability to meet some of our clients’ more complicated design requirements.”
The company said it did not consider any alternative machines or suppliers because “our existing Hunkeler line has been perfect”.
The new machine follows on from its 2019 investment in a Hunkeler offline roll-fed CS6-2 cutting system and also joins equipment from Canon, HP, Muller Martini, BlueCrest, Nipson, Tamarack and Goebel at the company’s 65,000sqm site.
Last year the business used the Covid-19 hiatus to complete a major revamp of its Lasermail offering with a £1.2m spend and a new brand.
With 390 staff and a turnover of £60m, Integrity Print serves financial, retail, charity, public sector, logistics, packaging, and food and beverage clients as well as the NHS, among others.
