HP hails double digit Drupa Indigo 30000 sales

HP has announced double digit sales of its HP Indigo 30000 Digital Presses for folding carton applications.

US-based printer Nosco is the first in the world to invest in a second 30000, due to start printing healthcare packaging in August at its Digital On Demand Solutions Center in Pennsylvania.

The first three 30000s to go to China were bought by Hucais Printing International for its three production sites in Dongguan, Qinghai and Shandong.

President and chief executive Chen Chengwen said the strategic purchase was an opportunity in a changing market.

Farmografica bought the first 30000 to go to Argentina and also its first digital machine.

Martin Esposito, director of operations, Farmografica said the press was “the first digital press that is ideal for the high-value folding carton jobs we produce for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics markets”.

Spanish company B2Packa will print on plastics with its 30000 while German firm Colordruck W. Mack took one for short-run packaging.
