Enfocus to release Version 10 of PitStop Pro

Enfocus will release the latest version of its PDF pre-flight and editing plug-in, Pitstop Pro, in October.

Version 10 of the application claims to make colour management "more accessible for everybody" with a wide range of features, such as the ability to save presets for future use and a new Color Picker panel that can import users' colour libraries and supports the latest Pantone Plus series.

It also checks for ink coverage, taking into account transparency, overprint settings, overlapping items and layers.

There is an improved Action Lists script, enabling the user to build automated checking, and to edit and fix sequences using a simple drag-and-drop capability.

In response to user requests, there is also a feature to search within the Font Picker and show RGB values as 0-255.

"We have tried to implement features to improve efficiency for every user," said Elli Cloots, director of product management at Enfocus.

"Volume customers will be helped by the PitStop Workgroup manager. Basic users will find the colour handling a lot easier and we have implemented some smaller feature requests for them also. Advanced users will also see the benefit in colour and they will like the new way of creating Action Lists."

The Acrobat plug-in will be available in October for €199 (£165) when pre-ordering the upgrade to version 10. Following the release, it will cost €259.

PitStop Workgroup Manager will also be launched in October for multi-user sites, which enables floating licences, where a set number of users can use the systems and all can work using the same settings – pricing will depend on the number of seats licensed.
