Delga Group rebrands and appoints new group MD

Kent-based print company Delga Group has rebranded its public sector print division, Collector Set Printers, as CSP, and appointed Ian Conetta as its new group managing director.

The rebrand is part of a wider strategy intended to distinguish CSP from the group's other business Delga Press, which also includes a new dedicated website launched on 8 July and social media push.

CSP focuses mainly on design and print work for the public sector, including more than 80 NHS trusts as well as for a number of local councils, while Delga Press produces packaging and large-format print, predominantly for the entertainment industry.

Conetta, who has taken up the newly created role of group managing director at Delga Group, said the firm's two business operations would be going in slightly different directions.

Conetta said: “What we found in recent times was that business with CSP worked well but we needed to diversify and get to a better audience.

“The name Collector Set didn’t give us anything but the acronym was synonymous with quite a prestigious customer base so we had to keep our identity whilst rebranding to give ourselves a root to the market for local business in the South East and nationwide there afterwards.”

Conetta started as group managing director on 1 July. He was appointed by the group’s two owners Allan Wells and Clive Gregory, as part of a “new strategic approach”. He was previously Delga Group operations director, appointed in March 2014.

He added: “We have designed a new logo and worked very closely with a local web designer to rebrand from a web perspective so we’ve launched a very fresh, new and exciting website and started to work on our social media activity.

“We realised that Maidstone had some 6,000 businesses but no one knew who Collector Set was so it was important to get ourselves known to the local region before we branched out further.”

The website re-design was led by CSP’s in-house design team, with one member of the team focusing on maximising CSP's social media output.

Delga Group employs around 150 staff, 100 at Delga and 50 at CSP.

Conetta added: “As a business, we have focused solely on our niche market and whilst that has been a very healthy environment for us to be in, it’s important for us to diversify, to let the local community know that we are there to support them.”
