Creative FX to showcase vehicle wrapping at Bluewater

Bromley-based vehicle wrapping specialist Creative FX is showcasing its expertise at the Bluewater shopping centre on the weekend of 5 and 6 February.

The company is using the popularity among celebrities to boost interest in the technique, which enables owners to change the appearance of their cars quickly without having to respray.

The exhibition will feature a Porsche GT3 RS, a Fiat 500, and Vespa scooter and a Smart car transformed with 3M's 100 Series vinyl and carbon fibre di-noc vinyl, printed with eye-catching designs on a Grenadier digital print and cut machine. The company also uses a Gerber Edge 2 for thermal printing and vinyl plotters for cutting vinyl text.

Creative FX director Chris Pook said that vehicle wrapping was becoming mainstream. "People are choosing vinyl wraps over other more permanent alternatives, as they allow you to have fun with your vehicle, without any long-lasting effects.

"A respray is forever and can reduce the value of a car, whereas a wrap is quick and easy to remove, so you can return your vehicle to its original colour whenever you want."

The event is free and participants can enter a draw to win a free wrap for their own vehicle.
