Blake Envelopes has acquired All Colour Envelopes in a strategic move.

The Yeovil company completed the deal to purchase family-run All Colour Envelopes from Albert and Shirley Rockhill on 14 October.

Blake said the acquisition was “a strategic fit for the Blake group and will form part of the multi-brand platform strategy whilst also fulfilling the end-user digital selling platform”.

Uckfield-based All Colour Envelopes supplies and prints high-quality envelopes and offers over 45 ranges including coloured envelopes, padded bubble bags, and business envelopes. The company will continue to operate as a separate business but sitting within the Blake group.

Blake managing director Graham Carlin said: “We are extremely proud to be the new owners and see this as a key moment for Blake in enabling us to accelerate our multi-brand platform strategy as well as providing you with the best envelope and packaging product solutions.

“For our customers, nothing will change. Whether you are looking to buy as a trade customer or a one-off purchase, our industry expertise and extensive range of products will give you confidence to buy from us.”

Serving the trade as well as end users, Blake sells over two billion products a year.

Three years ago the company invested £2.7m to establish its most extensive production facility in the UK, a 2,790sqm factory sited on the Lynx trading estate in Yeovil alongside its headquarters.

With the aim to reshore its production ahead of Brexit, the site operates a raft of production machines including digital and litho printing as well as finishing kit.

The business had been running some UK production since it acquired Shrewsbury-based Rapid Envelopes out of administration in 2017.
