The Mazina Media product line consists of digital photo papers for press-printed books that have a FlexBind hinge integrated into the sheet.

The product is compatible with many digital presses, covers and binding equipment, and is said to add no thickness to the page.

Neil Bather, managing director at Transeo Media, said there has been "a huge growth" in the photobook market over the past few years.

"Printers and photolabs are looking to offer more high-margin and diverse products to clients," he said.

Transeo Media is predominantly a software technology business, and Bather said this diversification was its first venture into consumables.

"We have a ready-made customer base out there, and the Mazina Hinged Photopages fit in beautifully," he added.

 The company will showcase photobook samples that have been produced using Mazina media at Ipex.

Bather added: "We think that for our product, the timing is perfect for exhibiting at Ipex. The market is ready for the product, and we're looking forward to the exhibition."

Transeo Media is the exclusive UK distributor for Taopix Photobook software, Mazina Hinged PhotoPages and DirectSmile personalised marketing software. It is based in Newcastle and has a satellite office in the Midlands.
