Roland DG to hold first Better Business Experience Day

Roland DG will hold its first Better Business Experience Day next month.

The event, which aims to inspire, teach and motivate existing, new and potential Roland DG users, as well as those interested in the firm’s technology, will be held at the manufacturer’s headquarters in Clevedon from 10am to 7pm on 16 September.

There will be a number of workshops and seminars as well as the opportunity to talk to experts on a range of sectors, from software to printing and wrapping to laminating.

The business said the aim of the day was to provide attendees with a complete picture of what can be done with wide-format print.

Roland DG Academy and Creative Centre manager Joe Wigzell will hold two Intermediate Digital Print workshops for attendees looking for tips and tricks and will also look at how to get the best results from the VersaWorks software.

Print product manager Mark Elvidge will demonstrate the main features and workflow advantages of the firm’s new RIP for Mac OSX and the RolandCare team will offer training sessions on machine maintenance and management.

Experts from Corel, Vivid Laminating, Lightbar, Adventa and Tecna UK will also attend the event and will host a series of mini demonstrations and FAQ sessions.

James Deacon will display his vehicle wrapping skills and answer questions on the wrapping industry while Roland user Pete Colman of Classic Print will share his experiences of using Roland DG technology to build a profitable business.

Marketing manager Sarah Lyons said the company is considering making the Better Business Experience Day a regular fixture, based on the response next month’s event receives.

“We’re hoping for existing users to understand any new revenue generating ways that they could use their machine, which are outside of their current remit, and make sure that they’re getting the most out of their machines,” said Lyons.

“It’s also a chance to give back to our loyal customers and provide them with some free-of-charge education and introduce them to any new business solutions they may need.”
