Océ unveils JetStream 1900 continuous feed printer

Dutch digital manufacturer Océ has unveiled the latest addition to its JetStream series of its duplex production printers with the launch of the 1900 printing system.

The machine, which will have its first placements in early 2012, can print at a maximum output speed of 127m per minute.

Océ is pitching the modular system at customers producing transactional applications, direct mail collateral or short-run newspapers.

The 1900 can print at resolutions of 600 x 480dpi at 127mpm, equivalent to 1,714 A4 pages per minute, as well as 100pm when printing in premium mode up to a resolution of 1,200dpi.

Crit Driessen, vice president of marketing and strategy for Océ production printing said the JetStream 1900 unites the high quality and versatility of the compact series with high-volume production.

"This makes the Océ JetStream 1900 the most complete continuous feed inkjet system in the market," he added.

Sebastian Landesberger, executive vice president of Océ production printing said that customers investing in the Océ JetStream Compact series, "can keep pace with changing business needs".

Océ confirmed that existing customers of the manufacturer's JetStream 1400 model will also be able to upgrade to the new 1900 iteration early next year.
