KCS Print offers web-to-print service

KCS Print is offering a free templates for its web-to-print service to help local businesses manage their printing requirements online, 24 hours a day.

The Launceston-based company said companies could save time and money by using web-to-print, rather than the time-consuming traditional printing process.

Web-to-print enables companies to print merchandise using pre-agreed templates of stationery, without having to submit separate pieces of artwork.

Director Terrye Teverson said: "Web-to-print is an innovative new concept that allows clients to amend pre-set templates by changing graphics and designs and editing them online."

Clients can instantly approve or amend their own proofs, place their order, from pre-set price matrices, and normally receive their completed order in less time than it takes conventional printers to get a proof to them.

"This is particularly attractive for firms that require complex printing contracts, or have multiple branches, since they can amend and manage templates themselves," she added.

Launceston-based KCS Print is offering a free presentation on the new technology to help businesses understand how it can be used.

The consultations can take place either at the KCS office on Pennygillam Industrial Estate in Launceston, at a client's own premises or over the phone.

Teverson added that other printers were now starting to get into this area.

She said: "We are suited to this because it enables us to produce work from anywhere in the country quickly and easily from the web.

"Our skills are high in this area and we of course have a real knowledge of print and getting it right for our customers."

She added that it means that instead of throwing 30% of print in the bin, which is the estimated average, it enables companies to make the amendments and print out what they need.
