Enfocus adds Lion support and channel remapping capabilities with latest PitStop update

Enfocus has added new channel remapping capabilities as well as support for the newly-released Mac OS Lion operating system with the latest updates to its PitStop Pro and PitStop Server pre-flighting tools.

According to Enfocus, channel remap enables users to either replace an unwanted spot colour with the correct spot colour, remove a spot colour channel altogether, convert a CMYK colour to a spot colour or equally, convert a spot colour to CMYK.

Leen Vanmaele, product manager at Enfocus, said: "Printing firms are still receiving PDF documents that contain unwanted or incorrect spot colour separations.

"With the new channel remap functionality included in Update 3 of PitStop Pro 10 and PitStop Server 10, unwanted spot colour separations can easily and accurately be replaced with another spot colour or with a specific CMYK colour."

In addition, Enfocus has included the ability to access the remap channels option through the remap colours element within the global changes menu.

PitStop Pro 10 update 3 and PitStop Server 10 update 3 are available as free downloads to existing PitStop 10 users from www.enfocus.com.
