DuPont sets Q1 2012 start-up for new Cyrel manufacturing facility

DuPont Packaging Graphics has announced the planned start-up of the new Cyrel round manufacturing facility at its Neu-Isenburg, Germany, site in the first quarter of 2012.

The expansion of the firm's European manufacturing capability is needed to meet growing demand for flexographic print sleeves, according to global business director Matthias Heinzel.

"This investment extends our capability to supply the growing global demand for flexographic print sleeves and demonstrates our commitment to advancing flexography around the world," said Heinzel.

"Continuous flexo sleeves are lightweight, easy-to-handle print forms that enable quick changeover on press and their seamless design enables high press speeds and the capability to print difficult-to-register, high-quality designs."

Bjorn Meth, regional director, EMEA, at Dupont Packaging Graphics, added: "The Neu-Isenburg facility assures EMEA customers of reliable long-term supply with the shorter lead times customers now require. The facility will manufacture Cyrel round sleeves for both solvent and thermal processes."
