UK-based silicone release papers manufacturer Techlan is supporting the industry’s carbon reduction goals by enabling users to slash the footprint of liners by two-thirds.

Since 2014 Techlan has been leading the charge toward a more environmentally conscious future. Based in South Wales, it uses cutting-edge, patented technology to manufacture high-quality, 100%-recycled release papers and films.

Release papers are used within a huge array of printed products ranging from tags and labels, stickers and domed emblems, graphic membranes and overlays, through to point of sale displays.

Wherever an adhesive is used, then a release paper or film is generally required.

Techlan’s Re-Liner product range significantly reduces the carbon footprint of products by replacing existing release papers & films, with a 100%-recycled alternative that offers a 67% CO2 footprint reduction over conventional release paper or film products.

Managing director Mark Thompson said: “The consumer is demanding products that have a reduced carbon footprint. At Techlan we have created a high-quality recycled release paper, that does not compromise on quality and provides a measurable CO2 saving for any product that it is applied to.

“Companies that switch to Re-Liner can clearly demonstrate this reduction within their products and their supply chain.”
