Based off a totally reworked platform that includes a new printer base, new beam, and new printhead carriage, the Swiss manufacturer is showing live print demonstrations of the 3.2×2m Nyala 5 printer, which can reach speeds up to 253sqm/hr, as well as the high-end 3.2×2m Kudu, which has been enhanced to reach up to 341sqm/hr.
Erskine Stewart, managing director of SwissQprint UK, said the reaction to the new series had been very positive since launch, both from existing customers looking to upgrade from previous series printers, “but also from our new customer base, where the increased productivity, and particularly the 10 channels that we have now on the Gen 5, has really made it a far more compelling solution”.
The company’s 3.4m-wide Karibu 2 UV roll-to-roll printer is also on its stand (27-C60), which additionally features theme-specific application worlds, including an area to see neon prints, along with haptic and visual effects produced by SwissQprint machines.
Fespa Global Print Expo runs until Friday (9 May) at Messe Berlin.
