The Nottingham-based manufacturer, which supplies drying and curing technology to markets including electronics, security and textiles printing, debuted the Mini UV Dryer at Fespa in Munich last week.
Commercially available with immediate effect, the business said the entry-level machine brings the performance found in its larger equipment to the small-format market.
The device is available in conventional mercury, doped lamp and LED form and features a maximum curing width of 600mm within a 1x1.5m footprint. Belt speed is variable from 3-30m/min.
Sales director Douglas Gray said: “This replaces an existing product called Table Top UV and represents a substantial step forward. It’s slightly bigger than that but much more feature rich.
“Additions include PLC control and a production-ready lamphouse assembly, which delivers Natgraph production typical performance.”
He added: “It’s really intended for laboratories or low-volume specialist production. A lot of people doing ink development and proofing don’t need a full-size production piece of kit, so this answers that need fairly well in the sense that it is very representative of a full-scale production piece of kit in basic performance terms.”
Last month it was revealed that Natgraph won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, after it grew its export sales by 134% over the three-year review period for the 2019 award. It has recently added new business in New Zealand, Sweden and Italy to its main markets of Japan, Germany and the US.
Natgraph predominantly supplies its machinery through OEM partners and distributors.
