Fitted with six colours (CMYK, Lc, Lm), the new machine will succeed Epson’s S60600 when it begins shipping at the end of 2025 and completes the manufacturer’s latest generation of eco-solvent printers, which includes the SC-7100 and SC-9100 – available in summer and autumn respectively.
With reduced banding, hot-swappable UltraChrome GS3 inks, and upgraded PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead with 33% more nozzles, the SC-8100 has been significantly updated and can achieve up to 30% higher productivity compared to its predecessor.
Chris Davies, signage and textile product manager at Epson, said: “This printer demonstrates our commitment to innovation and reliability, delivering higher productivity and superior print quality for signage professionals.”
Also on display at Epson’s stand (2.2-A20) is the new SC-G6000, a roll-to-roll CMYK+W DTF printer unveiled earlier this year and now receiving its commercial launch
