The Swiss manufacturer’s updated software suite includes a brand new Tool Management function for its Bobst Connect performance management system, and new automated print inspection software for Bobst’s inline inspection hardware Accucheck, called Recipe Management.
Connect’s Tool Management, Bobst said, will allow “unprecidented control” over TooLink equipped dies, and will integrate with tool makers, track tool performance, maintenance, and orders.
It was launched to market on 27 June.
The print industry is in the midst of a digital revolution, said Bobst CEO Jean-Pascal Bobst, discussing the launch.
He said: "This is forcing every company to innovate, challenge their approach, think end-to-end and digital, and leverage networks and platforms to deliver new business models for their clients.

Accucheck’s Recipe Managment system, meanwhile, will allow users to remotely set up inspection recipes based on artwork files, save recipes and retrieve parameters from previous jobs.
Italian packaging firm Prealpi was the first to trial the software, which has now been released to the wider public.
Bobst also revealed several hardware launches, including a new metalliser released at the end of June, alongside a July laminator release and Q4 2023 flexo press.
First to hit market was the Vision K5 HS Metalliser, designed for high-speed metallisation on a variety of film types, including heat sensitive, thin gauge and sustainable substrate films. It features a 700mm coating drum, claimed by Bobst to be the largest in the industry.
The Nova MW Laminator, due at the end of July, will be “super compact,” according to Bobst, intended for solventless lamination of narrow-web applications in the flexible packaging market.
Later in the year Bobst will also release the Vision CI flexo press for paper applications. Able to run 120g of paper at 400m/min, it will also feature Bobst’s extended colour gamut and SmartGPS system to automate start-ups.
The Italian manufacturer also revealed a series of updated die-cutting tools and hardware, including a 530mm semi-rotary die-cutter with automatic plate-change, an upcoming “enhancement package” for its Digital Master series of label presses, and a new user interface for Digital Master, in-line flexo M6, and other platforms.
Bobst has likewise added holographic capabilities and a smart foil advance calculator to its Novafoil machinery, and given them a digital makeready tool.
New strapping solutions will be released in July for Bobst’s Speedpack automatic packer.
Bobst also announced that its digital print technology has been officially validated by Pantone, meaning that its colour management engine has been checked by the colour giant.
