Xerox rolls out Version 7.0 of Web Services software

Xerox is aiming to simplify web-to-print for commercial printers and print buyers following the launch of the latest version of its Press-sense-powered Web Services software.

Version 7.0 of the online software is being pitched as a package that automates the print process from job order to delivery.

The latest edition features the ability to personalise jobs and access job quotes, as well as view PDF proofs and the status of each job in question.

Web Services, which is available now from Xerox, can also integrate with other software including DirectSmile Image Generator and XMPie PersonalEffect Adapter.

Andrew Pieroux, marketing manager for workflow solutions within the production systems group of Xerox UK, said automating the online process "not only frees up administrative and scheduling time for print operators, it enables them to grow business and increase revenue by taking on more jobs".

He added: "Web Services 7.0 rolls everything a print provider needs into one package, eliminating multiple vendors and headaches."
