C&B Communications is the publisher behind Wyndehams 27m magazines-a-year contract win. The firm announced the deal with its interim results (PrintWeek, 3 November 2000), but the identity of the publisher has remained under wraps until now.
C&B Communications, which is based in Londons Docklands, was the subject of an MBO from C&B Publishing plc earlier this year. It is the contract publisher of around 20 magazines, and its blue-chip customers include Royal Mail, NHS, Cartier and PrivatAir. It has just won the contract to produce national police monthly Constabulary, which has a run of 70,000.
Wyndeham will now do the print and repro for all of C&Bs titles, primarily at ET Heron and Argent Colour.
"This is a strategic decision. Part of the MBO process was looking at the way forward in terms of our relationships with print suppliers," said C&B chief executive Raymond Lewis.
"We were smitten with the people at Wyndeham and the services they were able to offer. They provide good service, are cutting-edge in terms of technology and are very go-ahead," Lewis added.
