"We are proud of what we have achieved in our first year, but there is a great deal more to do to achieve our goals over the coming years," said WRAP chairman Vic Cocker.
One of the main developments has been the award of a capital grant. WRAP will contribute up to 23m towards 127m of investment in the UKs newsprint reprocessing capacity.
The new waste reprocessing was awarded to UPM-Kymmenes Shotton Paper earlier this year (PrintWeek, 18 January).
WRAP also announced 3.6m of funding for research and development projects during the year.
The report was unveiled at the Institute of Wastes Management conference in Devon last week.
