The 120-year old Bradford company is being run as a going concern while administrator KPMG Corporate Recovery tries to find a buyer.
A KPMG spokesperson said a full creditors meeting would be held within three months if a buyer for the company could not be found.
In the last audited company accounts filed for March 2002, WE Berry had a turnover of 18.8m and made a loss of 1.12m. It also lost 1m the previous year.
Nobody at the company was available to comment.
