Vutek has recorded another first, this time in the Grand Format (Inkjet Print) Category of the 2001 Digital Imaging Marketing Association "Digital Printer Shoot-Out" competition, staged at the recent PMA show in Florida.
The latest award is for the UltraVu 2360 SC, its 2m-wide 360dpi six-colour digital ink-jet printer, and it follows last years Product of the Year award from the Digital Printing Association.
"Being recognised by DIMA for this type of award is extremely important to Vutek and our marketing partners, Ilford and 3M," said vice-president of marketing Tim Flaherty.
Over 108 prints from 28 firms were entered into the competition. They were then displayed during the DIMA Annual Conference in Orlando, with selection made by trade attendees based on quality, production and price.
The UltraVu 2360 SC with patented ink-jet head technology is suitable for poster printing, fleet graphics, transit bus wraps and shelters, point-of-sale advertising, airport advertising and telephone kiosks.
