Garnett Dickinson is to install a second Indigo press to meet demand in its digital division.
The south Yorkshire firm launched a digital printing division, Digitec, a year ago to cater for an increasing number of clients with short-run work. The division uses a six-colour Indigo TurboStream, which will continue to run alongside the new machine.
Sales and marketing manager John Flatt said: "We have signed up for another Indigo press an UltraStream this time purely because we need to meet demand".
He added: "Service quality and quick turnaround time means the UltraStream is the best on the market."
The 300,000 machine will be installed by the end of October in an office that will house a studio and pressroom designed for the Digitec division.
"There will also be room for expansion," said Flatt.
The Rotherham-based company, whose clients include holiday firm Thomas Cook, has also launched an online service for designing and proofing business cards. The cards from www.digitec.uk.com, are printed and delivered within 48 hours.
