The package, previously available only for Epson printers, allows DesignJet 1050 users to manually print double-sided proofs up to B1 format.

Troika Systems managing director Phil Hall said that the system would benefit "any printer who is currently having to stick two proof sheets together to prove that his imposition scheme is correct".

He added: "Following discussions with dealers and prospects we believe that we have uncovered another major opportunity with the DesignJet 1050 product."

Troika recently launched the Flipper, an automatic duplex proofer for the HP DesignJet 5500 (PrintWeek, 24 June 2004). VersoProof's Epson version currently has 120 users in the UK. The new product costs 2,500.
