TripleArcs existing print procurement platform, Print Catalogue, is designed for items that are frequently amended and re-ordered such as marketing materials and business stationery; CWS takes print procurement a step further by allowing one-off jobs to be handled online.
CWS is a print management workflow solution designed to act as a hub between buyer, designer, repro house, printer and logistics company. The system is built around JDF, which allows printers to export information from CWS straight into JDF-compliant management information systems.
CWS can be tailored to individual print buyers, either adhering to internal approval procedures or integrating with commerce platforms such as Ariba, Marrakech or Commerce One. CWS can also provide a transparent audit trail to all customers, and printers can manage the entire job via the system, from receiving the request for quotation (RFQ), through the downloading of JDF-compliant electronic job tickets, to invoicing the customer online.
"The benefits of this system to every member of the supply chain are obvious," said Cromack. "CWS is going to cut overheads, accelerate turnround times and bring print procurement into the 21st century."
