Trinity combines national and regional inserts role

Trinity Mirror has combined its national and regional direct marketing and inserts operations.

Former Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) head of inserts Charlie Hands has been promoted to direct marketing sales and operations director, and will be responsible for Trinity Mirror's regional and national divisions.

The group believes combining the regional and national leaflets and inserts operations will allow advertisers to target readers more effectively.

"The combination of our national and regional portfolios is a potent one for advertisers," Hands said. "Bringing them together will offer our clients a unique opportunity to target our readers."

Trinity Mirror makes annual direct marketing revenues of nearly 30m.
