The issue was produced by Wyndeham Graphics in Kent, which handled pre-press; and Wyndeham Heron, which printed the 40,000 copies on one of its three MAN Roland Rotoman 32pp presses.
Wyndeham Hubbard also worked on the job, producing a double 3D cover on 250 gsm stock on its five-colour B2 Komori Lithrone 528 press.
The issue comes packaged with a set of 3D glasses, all hand finished by The Finishing Company.
During production, tests were carried out to ensure that the images translated through the RIP correctly.
Michelle Williams, production manager at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (formerly the IEE), said: "Getting it right was vital to ensure Flipside has the best exposure in these early stages of its newsstand life."
Flipside is published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Previously sent out free to schools, the title has been distributed on newsstands since the April issue.
