The announcement follows a meeting on 8 August (PrintWeek, 7 August). BPIF chief executive Michael Johnson said consultation would take place in October and he aimed to publish a three-year plan by next April. It will then be updated annually on a three-year rolling basis.
BPIF president Ken Iddon, Vision in Print chairman Andrew Pindar and Print Education Forum chairman-designate Angus Clark will head a steering group to oversee the initiative, while Andrew Brown will give support after his return to the BPIF on 1 October from secondment to Vision in Print.
Brown, currently project manager of Vision in Print, is also confident of gaining funding for Partnership at Work, the BPIF-GPMU project that could eventually replace the National Agreement, following a meeting with the DTI.
