The group overseeing the capital's transport system is inviting tenders for a four-year contract involving at least 13,000 ID cards with holograms a year.
It also needs 75,000 sheets of watermarked paper with several security features, and 200,000 holograms annually.
London Bus Services is handling the tender for TfL, which manages 580km of main roads, all 4,600 traffic lights as well as buses, tube trains and taxi regulation.
London Bus Services has advertised the job on EU tender lists but was unavailable for further comment. Transport for London says there are 4.5m Greater London bus journeys a day.
According to a spokeswoman for London Bus Services, the deadline for the tender is 26 May.
