Stationers outlines rebrand plan

The Stationers Social Society is to rebrand and consult the Charity Commission.

Addressing the organisation's annual dinner in London last week, new president Barry Fowler said that the Society had recognised the need to embrace change.

"Merger and acquisitions have made it harder to attract new members," he said.

He added that the word "social" in the Society's title would in time be replaced by "benevolent".

Fowler added that ongoing dialogue with the Charity Commission was essential in order for the organisation to go forward.

A website and newsletter will also be launched, as the charity aims to attract younger members.

The Stationers' Social Society was formed in 1881.
