Hodgson, who was formerly SPEFs vice president and chairman of its Industrial Relations Committee, succeeds Gordon Cunningham. Waterston Mackenzie & Storrie managing director Graeme Douglas was elected vice president.
Hodgson said that he hoped to introduce the recommendations from SPEFs Review Group during his two-year tenure. These included providing enhanced services, increasing membership, and the use of assets, like its Edinburgh headquarters, in a cost-effective way.
