The new owner of Sign & Digital UK (SDUK) and the organiser of Printwear & Promotion Live!, Datateam Business Media, has confirmed that the two trade shows will run alongside each other next year.

In a change of the previously announced dates for signage and wide-format show SDUK, the two events will run from Sunday 25 to Tuesday 27 February 2024 at Halls 1 and 2 of the NEC in Birmingham.

Datateam said that following its recent acquisition of SDUK from Faversham House, positive discussions have taken place with exhibitors to the idea of the co-location and the benefits that it can bring.

The change will see SDUK open on a Sunday for the first time, offering those who are unable to attend on a traditional working day the opportunity to visit.

Datateam said the Sunday at garment decoration industry event Printwear & Promotion Live! is always the busiest day, with well over 2,000 visitors regularly in attendance.

Event director Tony Gardner commented: “The co-location will be a first for the UK’s sign, display and garment decoration markets. There is a real synergy between the two shows with around 10% of visitors attending both shows, and several exhibitors traditionally exhibiting at both shows.

“We are very excited about the opportunity that the co-location creates to enhance the two events. Visitors will have more compelling reasons to attend, with the added benefits that a two-show experience will bring, and exhibitors will benefit from an increased audience across the two shows.”

The 2023 edition of SDUK in March was warmly received, attracting “over 100 companies and brands” exhibiting. The 2024 outing will be its 35th edition.

Printwear & Promotion Live! 2023 attracted over 110 exhibitors while more than 5,000 garment decorators, clothing retailers, and printers attended the show, a 15% increase on 2022.

Gardner added: “Our 2023 exhibition was our first show back in our traditional February slot since Covid, and following its success, together with the planned co-location, the show is already well on course to be a bigger event in 2024. The majority of the industry’s major suppliers have committed to exhibiting, including the return of a couple of the big names that were absent this year.”

Visitor registration for both events is due to open in the autumn.
